PA1-Safe Use Pesticides

Pesticide training courses PA1 are the essential first step towards gaining a Certificate of Competence in the Application of Pesticides, and should precede any pesticide application training module. This pesticide training course provides learners with an opportunity:

• To understand what pesticides are, and their 'field of use'
• To understand their duties by law to help them become a safe and competent pesticide user
• To take the appropriate action to protect themselves and the environment                                                                                

This course is suitable for all those preparing for NPTC Training Assessment working towards their PA1 certfiicate, with or without past experience of handling pesticides, and employed or training for employment in agriculture, commercial and amenity horticulture.
