Working at Heights

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 came into effect on 6 April 2005. The Regulations apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. This ½ day course will enable trainees to:

• Understand how the Working at Heights regulation effects trainee and others
• Ensure any working at height work is appropriately planned and organised
• Understand the type and variety of equipment available when working at heights
• Recognise defects in ladders/stepladders and recognise when they are appropriate to use
• Ensure they have the understanding and knowledge to supervise others working at heights
• Ensure they have the knowledge to implement a maintenance and inspection plan for equipment used for working at heights
