Chainsaw Basic Felling

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that chainsaws and related equipment are operated only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use. We can provide training and assessment to Lantra standard or training in preparation for NPTC assessment for CS31. The course will cover the following:  

Lantra Chainsaw Basic Felling 

• Preperation
• Felling
• De-limbing
• Takedown of hung up trees

 

Chainsaw Basic Felling in Preperation for CS31

• Legislation
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Felling demonstration
• Felling trees up to 380mm diameter
• Additional felling techniques
• Delimbing felled trees
• Cross cutting trunks of felled trees
• Take down hung-up trees

The course will be 2 days for the Lantra basic felling for beginners and 3-day for beginners in preparation for CS31
